Building a Relay-Powered Pi Machine
Just in time to be a few days late to Pi Day, I built a machine that computes the digits of pi with relays.
Music Used:
Shawl Paul - Norma Rockwell (0:01, 15:25)
Take it Slow - SefChol (3:23)
Tiptoe out the Back - Dan Lebowitz (7:02)
No Good Right - Freedom Trail Studio (9:35)
Play Song - John Daley and the 41 Players (12:11)
Love Explosion - (14:32)
Clips in Order of Appearance:
The Spigot That Streams Digits of Pi - ua-cam.com/video/zqEtR9f9NLo/v-deo.html (2:24)
Calculating Pi with Real Pies - ua-cam.com/video/ZNiRzZ66YN0/v-deo.html (8:30)
RainPi - Calculate Pi with Raindrops - ua-cam.com/video/I-BC_vI4CAE/v-deo.html (8:32)
A really interesting formula for pi - ua-cam.com/video/zirDsRzxlxs/v-deo.html (8:46)
Congratulations to Matt Parker and his team of human computers for calculating 139 digits of pi by hand. My machine hasn't even come close to that.
This year man has beaten the machines...

Why Do Calculators have a Headphone Jack?

Can someone upload a tutorial on how to download this? I’m not calculator savvy enough to follow the instructions.
I remember watching Animusic on PBS and being enchanted by it! I loved it whenever it would show up
I have 4th 5th etc dimension space for sale. Invest now before the rest of the rat’s figure it out and rent z, tax and fine the rest that didn’t .
is that a Raspberry Pi 3? were in 2024 that's we have Raspberry Pi 5S
Im just wondering but can the ti nspire cx run psp games? since it have almost the same specs as the psp
You're 10 years too late. I'm out of school and don't need this
It would be cool if you could rotate the world by 90 degrees to get a better idea of where blocks are
damnnn, nice man
how to build this ?
Why there's no actual code and no actual technical details?
Great video! In case you've forgotten, God loves you. Jesus loves you. On your journey beware of traps and snares. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Don't become lost in the ways of the world.
Wow even calculators can play Minecraft at a higher frame rate than I used to play at. Technology has come so far
can i play it on a modern computer? 🥺
pff doesnt even have shaders
Looks similar to fallout 1
The shadows makes the graphics look amazing actually
İts better than new tablets
Broken machine 𝜋
Since calculating pi does not require random memory access, only serial memory, you could use delay line memory. Probably magnetostrictive rather than mercury, for obvious reasons.
I have the hypothesis that computing pi for a significantly large number of digits manually is physically impossible, no matter what method you use. Every single example I have seen always has an error somewhere.
this is the iphone before the iphone :D
1:21 explains the line "im a creeper, minecraft s grim reaper"
4:59 it is??? WHY DID I WASTE SO MUCH TIME ON IT THEN??? Oh wait i worked with redstone, of course that adds complications.
Hey uh, what can i compute with a 1 bit fidget cube, (1 top button, bottom is empty, a switch, 3 gears, 1 metal ball, 5 small buttons, 1 rotating circle)
Man, my calculator does not even have integrals! And the other bases dont support most of the decimal feautures...
Theory: If we can display 3d shapes in 2d, can we display 4d shapes in 3d?
I think they can't. The whole group of people that think they understood 4D , but not a single one could explain it understandably to normal people, which mean they themselves had a vague idea about it.
Anybody in 2024?
Remember to press the PI button for the coordinates!
"Making a minecraft themed game for a calculator " smh
Can someone put all the controls into a comment and make it pinned
was a cool pc but once they came out with touch screen tablets, it was time for it to go in the basement and keep the ti-59 and print cradle company.
BALANCE AND completeness go hand in hand. Gravity/acceleration involves what is balanced inertia. Gravity AND ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy are linked AND BALANCED opposites, as the stars AND PLANETS are POINTS in the night sky. The fourth dimension AND conservation of energy are consistent with what is E=MC2. Consider TIME AND time dilation ON BALANCE. Frank Martin DiMeglio is correct that THE FOURTH dimension, that stars and planets are points in the night sky, is consistent with the coronal heating “problem”. Great. TIME is NECESSARILY possible/potential AND actual ON/IN BALANCE, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is CLEARLY AND NECESSARILY proven to be gravity (ON/IN BALANCE). Consider what is THE EYE ON BALANCE. Excellent !!!! Consider what is the BLUE sky. Indeed, consider what is complete combustion AND WHAT IS E=MC2. Great. By Frank Martin DiMeglio
I wonder how hard it would be to implement memory error correction in the relays.
install windows 8.1
3:48 AYO BONZIBUDDY IS A PEDOPHILE!
this machine should be shaped like a pie
4D creatures would probably make thoughts manifest whereas thoughts for us are abstract.
Guess you should have added some checksum bits so you wouldn't have to have the rpi correct it!
i like the concept that we are shadows of a 4 dimension , like ancient greek filosophers thought
error correction?
“I don’t know what the fucks happening.” Computer: “Sí.”
How about a relay computer programmed in the brainf*ck language that does not contain a SINGLE silicon device? ua-cam.com/video/5hhbGBlP3_4/v-deo.html
"1000x slower than a computer" K lemme get my sodium mods and run 1fps because i get 1000fps on my laptop
The Carl Sagan approach… imagine the 4th dimension as though it were the 3rd dimension if all you knew was in the 2nd dimension…
U got a big thumb
Probably not related but, shapes shouldnt be called anything because of you think about the outlines of anything, that itself would be a shape
Interesting, still not convinced about realities above 3D, or 4D of 3D&Time.
2D doesn't exist, or we can't see it. A piece of paper like the block notes, in reality it is a 3D ! The height is very very small, like 0.000000000001 cm. In order to be 2D the height has to be ZERO. If it was zero, it would NOT exist. 2D does NOT EXIST. Everything we see is 3D ONLY !
i was wondering would it be possible to make this run on a miyoo mini/onion os i would love for it to. and im not going to buy a 70$ calculator so PLS tell me how to run it on my pc and also why have you not responded to any of your subscribers
This man decided to break my mind
